Humming Bird Woodworks

Our Custom Kitchen Cabinets are truly Hand Crafted with real woods and plywoods at our shop. The rough Sawn lumber is delivered to our shop. From there the lumber is milled to the final dimensions that are called for on the CAD drawings. The last step is putting all the cabinets together.

Made-To-Order Custom Cabinets

Our Custom solid wood legs are customizable in thickness. 

1 1/4″ thick stretchers on the front of the cabinets.

1 1/4″ thick stile and rails on the cabinet doors.

3/4″ thick plywoods on the door panels and cabinet boxes.

1″ thick drawer fronts.

Specialty Cabinets that feature Time Tested Details from the Past

We have been in business for over 30 years designing and building our custom cabinets in our shop in Glen Ellyn. While these cabinets are for the world of the future, The Custom cabinets and design derive many details from the past.

Our unique cabinet details feature:

Wood saw tooth shelf adjusters,

We use wood-pin dowels for our cabinet door hinges, in addition to metal cabinet hinges

Solid wood leg glue-ups.

These practices have been used for hundreds of years in Europe.
