Kitchen Gallery – Glen Ellyn – Hilltop 1911/1913
The Glen Ellyn Hilltop Gallery showcases these custom kitchen cabinets in this historic home. The cabinets’ design derives from this FLW-designed home’s original blueprints. The home is located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. These cabinets are Birch. Meticulous research went into the design process,. We had the old cabinets, and the original blue prints to use as templates. Those elements really helped assist in the new design.
We fabricate the new cabinets at our shop in Glen Ellyn. They followed the dimensioned CAD drawings. We create the CAD drawings at our design office. Our design office is where we render all are kitchen drawings. Our design office is about a mile away from our shop.
After our Humming Bird Woodworks crew completed the cabinet fabrication, they delivered and installed the cabinets. (See the cabinet delivery video after the photo gallery below).
The Home has two Historic Designation Plaques and a 2025 “Architectural Details” Award.

The Historic Preservation Commission in the Village Of Glen Ellyn awarded this home the winner of “Architectural Details” Award in 2025.
Humming Bird Woodworks designed and constructed the deck off the upper garage nestled amongst the trees on the hill.
