Glen Ellyn– Refinish

Our Glen Ellyn refinish Gallery. Our customers didn’t want to remodel the kitchen with all new cabinets and countertops. So we refinished the old base cabinets, and kept the existing countertops.

We replaced the overlay drawers and doors that were literally falling off the cabinets. The overlay door and drawers were replaced with inset drawers.

On the fridge wall we did design and build new upper cabinets with glass doors, a new pantry/fridge enclosure cabinet, and a base cabinet to fill in the opening in the base cabinet run.

Glen Ellyn– Hilltop 1911/1913

These custom-built cabinets are designed after this FLW-designed home’s original blueprints. The home is located in Glen Ellyn, IL. It has two historical landmark plaques, and a 2025 “Architectural Details” Award from the Village Of Glen Ellyn Historic Preservation Commission. One plaque is from the the Village of Glen Ellyn, and the other is from the Glen Ellyn Historical Society

Hyde Park – I.M. Pei Condo

This kitchen is in a condo in Hyde Park, Chicago. The Condos in this neighborhood are by architect I.M. Pei. This is the 2nd kitchen we designed and built for the homeowners. It was great to work with the again throughout the entire process.

Most of the first floor walls in the condo are exposed brick. The original kitchen disrupted the rhythm of the brick walls. Our design opened up the kitchen to the rest of the main floor.

The Kitchen cabinets are Birch. We brought the wood into our shop in rough lengths, milled to the finished dimensions.

These cabinets are Poplar wood and painted white. They feature our wood pin hinges, and solid wood construction.
